I made this cake to enter in our county fair. I ordered the damask stencil to use for the first time on this. I was so exited about it and have wanted to try it for so long! It turned out pretty well, but I could use some more practice. I also made peonies for the first time, and need more practice on them as well. It's hard to make something perfect when you don't have all the correct tools. :/ I also didn't make them enough ahead of time, and they weren't completely dry when I took the cake. Bummer.
I guess it wasn't too bad, because I won 1st place! yay!
